Dr. Teresa M. Propato

 

Dr. Teresa Propato has been a practicing Podiatrist since 1999. She was an associate in a group practice in Newtown, Bucks County, PA where she was involved in surgical and non-surgical cutting edge foot care. Summer 2017, after thoughtful consideration, she decided to relocate closer to home in Warrington, PA.

Dr. Propato's education began in Abington, Pa where she was born and raised. She was honored to be chosen as one of  WCAU T.V's "Best of the Class of 1989" upon graduating from Abington High School. She attended Ursinus College and graduated in 1993 with a Bachelor's of Science degree in Biology prior to attending Temple University's School of Podiatric Medicine. At TUSPM she was involved in and helped organize many community events, including Shoes for the homeless, Kids day events at the school's clinic and Play therapy with children at CHOP.  After graduation in 1997, Dr. Propato went on to complete a surgical residency at Crozer-Chester Health Systems. While at Crozer, Dr. Propato was fortunate enough to have had extensive multi-disciplinary training including sports medicine at the Springfield Healthplex, Dermatology rotations at Jefferson's Skin Clinic, and Surgical training with Vascular, General and Orthopedic Surgeons. Her vast training and experience in wound care through the Burn Center at Crozer Chester Medical Center, and the Center for Wound Healing at Crozer-Springfield Division led to her special interest in limb salvage and wound care and became a Certified Wound Specialist through the American Board of Wound Management in 2005.  She has been on staff at St. Mary's Wound Care Center  (1999-2009) and is presently treating wound care patients in the Warrington office.  She is active medical staff  at Doylestown Hospital.

From 1999-2017 Dr. Propato enjoyed being a part of a busy, diversified practice working closely with specialists and internists at St. Mary Medical Center in Langhorne, PA and Lower Bucks Hospital in Bristol, PA as well as many skilled nursing facilities in Bucks County.  She became certified in Foot Surgery in 2003 and continues to be a Fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons. She is an active member of the American Podiatric Medical Association, American Board of Podiatric Surgery, American Academy of Wound Management as well as the Pennsylvania Podiatric Medical Association since 1999.

In her spare time, Dr. Propato enjoys walks with her dog, day trips to the beach with her daughters, spending time with her friends and family, and traveling to new places.
